Many families in Cambodia are having their homes taken away so that big name companies can use their land for various projects, leaving many displaced, angry, and begging for land from the government.
A young girl from the Boeung Kak lake community cries during a protest outside the Ministry of Justice in Phnom Penh on May 31st. Protesters called for the release of 15 residents jailed last month.
Heng Sreyleak, 13, the daughter of Heng Mom, said the charges were “unjust”. “All they were doing was protesting for the 12.44 hectares of land promised to them by…Hun Sen,” she said.

I have high hopes of becoming one of the greatest and highest paid anesthesiologists, but my dreams of owning my own café, dessert shop, even a family owned restaurant- they will never die. I’m doing it all, even if it kills me. I promise you, you will hear my name one day; I’m going to help save someone’s life, make the finest cappuccino, be one of the greatest cake bakers, even own a five star restaurant. Then when you finally see me making it big, you’ll be a bitter bitch.

Lol! I know. At least there are some English words in it, so I actually understood parts of it. HA! Anyways, I might as well be Filipino. Just saying.
I’m totally glad that this school year is almost over. I can’t wait until all I have to do is work. I’m looking for a new job because sadly I’m barely getting hours compared to most, but some haven’t even been working for a couple of weeks, glad to not be them.
Anyways, lately, it’s been hard to get up to go to school. My boyfriend seriously has to wake me up sometimes. I remember we were just laying there and I asked him, “Do I have to go to school? I’m tired, can I just stay home?” He told me, “No! You have to go to school!” Then I asked him again, “Do I really have to go? It’s just school, no biggie.” He yelled at me to go to school and stop asking if I had to go. I asked again, “Do I really have to?” He gave up and said, “I’m tired too, let’s both not go to school, okay?” I gave in and went to school because since it’s his senior year, and he has little time to spare; I should’ve said okay.
Other than that, it’d probably be my allergies that are bothering me. My nose is stuffed at all times, and it’s only my left nose. So I’m sniffling and whatnot.
Back to work. Math class, I enjoy figuring out your problems.
